Dress Shopping tomorrow!!!

Finally going to go dress shopping tomorrow! I really hope I find what I'm looking for :-) I seem to have everything from my shoes, jewelry, and even my veil...but not the dress...hee hee. WIsh me luck! Vibes please! And any advice would be great.

Good luck! I'm also going dress shopping tomorrow for the first time.

Tips I've gotten:
- take your accessories and shoes
- wear decent undies and maybe a strapless/convertable bra
- take a camera
- take 1-2 people
- take water and snacks
- have an open mind and try everything on

I was the opposite of the previous poster. I waited to buy a dress before knowing what shoes/bra to buy. Wear a strapless but be aware that if you get a low back, you'll probably need a bustier.

I agree about keeping an open mind! And bring a camera if possible.

And I would definitely take WATER and SNACKS with you for sure!! Especially if you're going to go to multiple stores!!!

Of course, don't forget to take a camera and take lots of pictures!!!!

Definitely be open-minded! Both of the dresses I fell in love with (and the one I bought) I probably wouldn't have picked off the rack. Be honest with yourself and the consultant on what you like/don't like so she knows what to look for in other dresses. it's their job to help find you the perfect dress.

I wore a strapless bra and full panties b/c its much easier to get in and out of dresses w/ the girl helping you

I laughed and told the girl I was wearing my "granny" panties and she told me that she was just thankful that I was wearing any b/c some ppl don't !!!

And most importantly, HAVE FUN!!! And don't get discouraged if you don't find something right away.

Good luck!!! Def take some good support panties and a nice strapless, they'll def help.
And I agree, try on as many as you can, even if you don't think you'll like it! I can't wait to see pics!

Try on everything! Even something you think is ugly on the hanger (if the person helping you says you should try it on!) My first wedding I hated one dress and she talked me into trying it on and it was the dress I bought! And try on all kinds of dresses, from poofy ones, to mermaid style to A line, whatever! Just try try try! It's so much fun and how many times will you do this right??!!

Try on everything, and remember to listen to the sale lady, they know what they're talking about. I say forgo the water, and spike your drink instead, I needed a drink and advil after my experience. If you are able, take pics. And if you don't find the dress that makes you cry that first trip out, go a few more times, your dress may still be out there.
One last thing, expect none of them to fit perfectly. You have to use some imagination, it's annoying, but the stores only have samples. The dress you order will be more tailored to your body.
