How long did it take for your photog to post your e session photos??

It has been 3 weeks since we got our e session photos done and we haven't heard anything on when they'll be blog or posted. How long did you guys wait for your photos? Maybe im just impatient.

Haha I think you should definitely give it a little more time.  I know it's hard to wait though!

I got anxious about ours because i noticed that epic sessions were usually put up within a week or two, and ours took about a month.  But ours was also right in the middle of big wedding time (June) and they told us they make sure to get wedding pics up before e-pics, especiially since our wedding wasn't until October.

That said, at about the 3 week mark, I sent an email to the photographer, saying something along the lines of "I know you were going to do our epics after getting all your wedding shots up, but I'm very excited to see them, so can you give me some idea of when to expect them, just so I can stop stalking your blog?"  If he can give you a timeline, it will help with the anxiety level!

We had ours taken at the beginning of May, and I think it took maybe 2 weeks before she had them up on her website.  They've not been blogged.  I agree with Beth, just ask for a timeline.

Yea I was wondering if it was too soon to start asking questions or if it was okay to ask when we can expect to see something. I know he was on vacation for a week, but I just wanna see them!! Like I said, im so impatient. lol

If you know he's been on vacation, I'd probably wait a little longer.

it took mine a little over a month (like 5 weeks) but we had our session in May, which is a very busy time for wedding photog.  I know it is hard to wait, but give it a little more time!!

Don't forget to share when they are posted!!

Ours were three weeks- but she told us that up-front and stuck to her timeline. Did your photog give you a timeline? It might be longer, depending on their level of busy-ness. Also our photog didn't blog until she had given us our pics. :)

Ours took about 2 months!  Our photographer wasn't in a rush, and neither were we, so we knew ahead of time to expect that.  Give him/her some time, but it can't hurt to send an email and get a ballpark timeframe!

I think 2-3 weeks is the norm, depending on the season.

He told us a few weeks, but that is a vague answer so who knows when it will really be. I just hope that it won't be too much longer! He said he got some really good shots so I can only imagine what they look like. I got bit by a donkey during our shoot..that deserves some kind of early gratification.

Honestly, even during the busy season my turnaround time on an e-session was 10 -14 days max.  It could be that others are slower because they have other full-time positions and do photography on the side.  My jaw dropped when I saw that it took one photographer 2 months to finish an engagement gallery Surprised

I would just send a little email reminder asking what date you can expect to have them. That might push your gallery up on his priority list.  The lowest thing on my priority list is always my blog. I neglect it sorely!

I would expect this to be a VERY busy time for weddings, so I would hold out just a little longer.  It took my photographer about 3 weeks.  We were told about 2-3 weeks, so I think that is about average for most.

Haha we took our photos in the middle of nowhere in Apex. We were near a greenhouse and there was a couple of animals across the street. We went over there for a shot and the donkey nipped me on my elbow when I was leaning against the gate!! I almost died laughing even though it hurt a little! I hope he puts up a pic of that!! I have to see how that pic came out!!

I would say 2-4 weeks is the norm for an online gallery to go up, especially during heavy wedding season and/or vacation time. I would say not to expect to be blogged though. I don't think that's something that is required of every session a photographer does.
