Altoona/State College area brides...recommend your baker!

Hi knotties, Hoping you wonderful ladies can help me. I was a faithful knottie 3 years ago and next month will be my 3 year anniversary! I wanted our wedding cake baker (Kim Morrison) to do our anniversary cake but she is fully booked.Can you recommend your wedding baker or somone that does specialty cakes? I don't want to go with grocery store cakes. As a last resort I'll do it myself but for my anniversary I'd really like one done for me!TIA!

    My sister used Heather Luse at Delectable Delights in Centre Hall PA.  Her cakes are amazing...sooo yummy!  But she does book up fast...her number is 814-364-2995 or you can just google her and it will come up.  Good Luck!

    HEATHER LUSE!!!  She is amazing.  I've never heard anything but rave reviews about her.  Delectabledelights.com   She works for the PSU bakery but also runs a cake business from her home in Centre Hall.

    Thanks guys, I contacted Heather soon after I posted here but she is expecting and her doctor has advised her to take it easy so she's not accepting any more orders until after her baby is born in October... :(Thanks anyway... I think I might end up doing my cake myself LOL

    Mary from Dolce Vita Desserts in Boalsburg is wonderful.  She did our wedding cake and cupcakes 3 weeks ago and everyone raved about them!  She seems to just be getting into the wedding market (she has baked for other events for awhile), so she might be less booked.  Her website is: http://dvdesserts.com/default.aspx

    Thanks bonjourbelle05. I just visited her site and unfortunately I can't use her due to their allergy disclaimer as I'm allergic to all nuts.THANKS EVERYONE for taking the time to recommend a baker for me...I think for this year I'm just going to go ahead do it myself. I've been meaning to try this bourbon chocolate cake recipe with maple mousse anyway...For those of you recently married...CONGRATULATIONS! and for those of you with upcoming weddings, ALL THE BEST! Enjoy the planning, enjoy the big day, and enjoy each other for the rest of your lives :)
