favor opinions

Hello...our wedding is coming up on November and we are picking favors. We were going to do Caramel Apples, but I can't find them cheaper than $2.50...and we are having over 200 people so we cannot afford that. We are hoping to keep it under $2 a person. Our next option is hot chocolate mixes. Of the three pictures below, which do you like best of the packaging?

#1. I think it's a nice idea. IMO though, many people loose/throw away favors, so you could also save $$ and skip them.

The thrid option. Have you asked a local candy store or bakery about making them for you for under $2/person?

When my brother got married, they did adorable carmel apple bags. Found really cute fall bags and in there put a stick, an apple, three or four carmels and attached a verse about each ingredient that I dont have now, but could get it from them. They did all of them for reallllly cheap.

Yes I have called local candy stores and apple orchards (we are getting married in central new york, which is plentiful in the apples haha). It was a bummer that no one could really go below that price because my heart had been set on it. I'd make them myself, but since I live in NJ now, and am getting married 4 hours away- I don't want to travel with them.

Guess I'm in a minority. I like 1 and 2... My favorite hot cocoa packaging is this: [URL]http://tinyurl.com/mbypfh[/URL] I would also consider skipping favors though. People really won't notice you didn't have any.

m future in laws have already been asking about favors...so I'd feel bad skipping out on them though I would if the circumstances were different!

North Jersey? Anywhere near Morristown?Whitman's Farm on Rt. 202 going towards Bernardsville has carmel apples all fall and I'm sure they're much less than that. Their own apples too.
