limo size - # passengers

ok, so I've procrastinated long enough....I really wanted a trolley, but I think I've decided it's not worth the much higher cost.But now I don't know what to do for a limo.  We will have 10 of us total (me, DH, 4 BMs, 4 GMs).  Do I just get a 10 passenger regular limo, get one that is 12 or 14 (for space), or would you recommend getting some fun SUV limo instead of a normal stretch?

    I would get one to accomodate more people than the exact # you have. It's never as roomy as they say, and with all the dresses and stuff, it can be cramped.

    Ditto kathy.  We had a 14 pax stretch and we had 10 people as well and there was no extra space.

    Ask your limo company.  We had a 10 person limo, and a 14 person limo.  We were told that the 10 person limo would really fit 10 people, while the 14 person limo really fits 12 (I think the 14 counted the driver and person in the passenger's seat as seats, while the 10 did not?).  But with a wedding dress and desire for extra room, we were told that 8 could be in the 10 person and 10 could be in the 14 seater.

    I prefer the look of the regular stretch limo over the SUV limos. But I'm assuming the SUV would be much roomier.

    SUV's are roomier, but some of them were real narrow and had very narrow access doors.  I didn't use the Range Rover that I really liked for this reason.  The escalade offered the most room of the ones we looked at.........16 passenger by definition, but I felt it was just big enough for the 10 we had.

    Thanks for everyone's input. I'm gonna probably go with a bigger one, just for the room.  We'll be traveling in it a good deal as we're doing pics before the ceremony somehwere and then probably in between the ceremony and reception too.

    We had a 12 passenger limo and 11 people in it and we were TIGHT - there's no way we would have fit 12 people in it.
