We are having a destination wedding and coming back and throwing a party/reception, pretty laid back. We will invite everyone to come to the destination wedding but figure most can't make it. Is it still alright to register for gifts?Thanks for your help!

Yes, it's fine to register. There are people who, although not invited or unable to make it to the wedding, will still want to get you a gifts anyway.

I would just do a simple tactful monetary gift registry. Check out www.egift-ing.com Your able to print your registry cards, address labels, and thank you cards directly from the site. For those how can't make it and would like to forward you a monetary gift it's a very tactful way to do so.
