Suggestions for Beach Wedding Locations Please!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. My fiance and I plan to get married March 6, 2010 (or thereabouts). We would love to have a beach ceremony, with an indoor reception to follow at a nice venue. We can only spend about $70-75 per person for the reception hors d'oeuvres, one or two hour open bar, and dinner. Help! Any suggestions on East or West coast of Florida would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Welcome Happy Planning. I am getting married at the on Miami Beach @ THe Beach @ 67th Street Park, followed by a reception @ The Shane Center, you can definitely look into that option. It can def accomodate your budget. HTH

Heather, it is totally possible to have the most amazing wedding of your dreams for that exact budget!! I just did the same thing this past June! Let me tell you how we did it:We got married at Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key Florida, about 40 miles North of Key West... it was absolutely breathtaking... no onlookers or anything! (unlike getting married in key west) We had around 27 people attend, including me and my husband and our wedding party. It was $150 for the beach front location (which you can choose where you want to be) and that included park entrance fees for our guests. I used Wild By Nature for my flowers, which were an array of orchids and bougainvillia, plus 7 coursages and bouts, an arrangement for my flower girl's basket, my bouquet and my maid of honors, plus a few orchids for my hair.... ALL for $400I used Milemarker Party Rentals for my chairs and canopy with gorgeous material draped from the bamboo posts.  The chairs are the most expensive thing you will by... they range from $3-8 per chair which is ridiculous....but it's worth it to have your guests sit!  Don't let your future husband talk you out of it lol... mine tried!  Jill Atkinson is the most resourceful person you will ever meet... she helped me get ahold of my florist and my acoustic guitarist, gave me the chairs and canopy!! The canopy was $125 , the guitarist $125, the material was $100 (but you don't even really need it, I only used it for color because I didn't want too many flowers due to our budget restraints)  We had our reception at Nine One Five ~ an upscale wine bar/restaurant and cocktail lounge.  It was so amazing!! I have so many pictures if you want to see! We were able to have a 2 hour open bar, hor D'oeuvres (which were so filling- no one went home hungry) and awesome music because they always have a dj.  ALL for $1450 !! My photographer was out of Miami, and he was supurb! I could not have asked for better pictures. We got so many compliments and some people asked if our pictures had real backgrounds lol! The ocean is the best backdrop you could ask for. I had getting ready pictures for $200 and he captured our entire ceremony and followed us to the keys for the whole night until the very end of the reception.... capturing every breathing moment of that day!  All for $1000 total!! he didn't even charge us a traveling fee!! He is professional and a blast to work with.So you can totally have the most beautiful wedding that no one will ever forget for under $5000!!We got comments at our reception from people that said they had never had so much fun at a wedding ever!Let me know if you need any other resources... I'd love to help you plan!!  I wish I had found someone earlier in my planning to help me... but ours was a destination wedding which made it much harder (I'm from Milwaukee, WI)... so don't hesitate to ask questions or see pics!! They are all on facebook.  GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS!!~Erica    erica.buytaert@marquette.edu

Jupiter Beach Resort. They started high but I cut out some things and got the price down. Standard is 4 hours of premium open bar -- if you cut it to 2 hrs of a regular bar the price cut would probably be huge. Good luck!
