Nered Downtown Ceremony site.... HELP ME!!!

I already booked my reception at Hotel Contessa. I was thinking of having my cermony at Marriage Island o The little church at LaValita. On Sunday I peeked in on a wedding on Marriage Island... and could not believe the obsticals. Major foot traffic... rude people trampled all over her isle just minutes before she walked down it. A lady smoking sat at the entrace way where the bride was walking... puffing away... and then buses sat parked on the street running that prevented anyone from hearing anything..... then i found out my plan B... LaValitta has been booked during the ceremony time I needed....so I could move to an early cermony... but I will have to pay more time to the photographer...

I need help!!!! I am looking for a ceremony space downtown... I would prefer outdoor space that can seat 30-40 people... I checked out the Inn on the Riverwalk and the ceremony site is really sloped which makes seating hard.... Any other ideas people???

http://www.swschool.org/facilities-rental ----Southwest School of Arts and Crafts - rents for 2,200 for less than 150 people.

http://www.guentherhouse.com/   ----Max is like 2,200 rental for up to 200 people.

http://www.sabot.org/?nd=rentareas   ---A little past downtown, but still pretty close and pretty.SA botanical

http://www.visitsanantonio.com/visitors/play/attraction-details/index.aspx?id=2668  ----Japonese Tea Gardens located by the Zoo

Or you can just call Breckenridge park to see if they can rent you an area.

You may want to look into the Inn on the Riverwalk www.downtownsanantonioweddings.com. I looked into it for my wedding, but I wanted ceremony and reception in the same place and they could only accommodate a small number of guests for the reception.

yeah Inn on the Riverwalk was actually my first choice...  the ceremony site is on a slope so seating is weird.... plus she quoted me $7000 for ceremony and reception-before alcohol... hotel contessa (5 star venue) was just over half that and it included open bar for 3 hrs and they comp'ed my hotel suite. I thought Inn on the Riverwalk was a good price until I started doing my homework...calling vendors for chairs... etc. She overcharges on EVERYTHING!!! An educated BUDGET bride can not be messed with!

I think we may still go with Marriage Island... since its on site at Hotel Contessa... I dont like the foot traffic.... but our ceremony is only 15-20 minutes... I cant see spending $$$ to travel to another site plus more $$$ to pay for extra time with the photographer... I just need some pushy wedding guests to stop people from trampling down my isle... LOL
