Seattle Live Music for Wedding Reception

Any recommendations for a live band to play at a wedding reception? We are hoping for a group that keeps the crowd dancing and doesn't sound too much like "the wedding singer".

Try searching on gigmasters.com - you can narrow the search by location, and type of band, and you can see other people's reviews. Here's a link -http://www.gigmasters.com/Search/Wedding-Seattle-WA.html

We used Jazz Unlimited Band. They were great to work with and a lot of fun. Duane is very, very responsive to emails. They don't charge to learn a new song for you either. I think it was something like $2500 for a 5pc band, but I ended up negotiating thme down to $2100 or $2k. http://www.jazzunlimitedband.com/

I think I'm going to book the Craig Lawrence Band. He is super friendly! We're going to do 3 pc. for cocktail/dinner, and then the full 6 pc. band for dancing. It's $3,150 for our Saturday evening reception.

We are having the Michael Benson Band. They are awesome and can play pretty much anything! Michael has been great to work with so far, and I've heard nothing but raves.

I've also heard great things about the Dusty 45s. I haven't personally heard them, but my dad thought they were fantastic! Fire tricks with trumpets, crowd participation, everything. :) HTH!
