My wedding had a touch of Disney. I just used a Mickey and Minnie wedding cake topper. I also used some very elegant and classy Disney votives. I want to find a picture of the votives online, but I have had no luck. No one took a picture of our table set up at the wedding, unfortunately. They still sell the votives at the Disney Character Warehouse in Dolphin Mall. The cake topper is sold at all Disney parks. You can have a really nice Disney themed wedding without being cheesy.

Seriously Harsh Tess.... some people can be so obnoxiously rude on here....Maybe she meant the mickey logo... the ears etc.... Christine,There are many ways to encorporate mickey into a theme without it being gaudy or tacky..... I would visit disney's website and get in touch with their wedding planners... they could give you some great tips for a mickey theme and or disney theme.Good luck planning!!

tess, not sure what you wrote cuz you deleted it, but I am sure I prob thought it too when I 1st read the post. I am not really big on themed weddings personally. Whats wrong with the theme "we're getting married!'?? I always considered heavily themed events wre mostly for kids parties, sweet 16's, bar/bat mitvahs. But to each their own is 100% right - thats why there are 103030484985 flavors of ice cream. BTW - tropicalbride, how do you know what the norm is for this board?????

vicki, the comment was something along the lines of a kids bday party, give or take a few words.

i dont have any solid ideas but i'd say the more subtle the better. You can make it look elegant with touches of the theme like maybe ear sillhouttes, but not flat out obvious mickey, you know?

Tess, we know you aren't snarky. Those of us that post on here regularly know that so who cares what the other people think. I'm sure we were all thinking the same thing about a "mickey" theme. There are a few things that can make it classy and YOU as well as other girls gave that information. Let's move on.

Novchristy: Yea, I spend a lot of time in that store. It's a little bit of a Disney fix for me.Everything is going well. Thank you. I hope everything is well for you too. :)Here's a picture of my cake topper. Please excuse my cake. Our cake vendor sucked and was a huge disappointment. He did not do what we asked for. :(

Oh, by the way, the votives had silhouettes of Mickey, Minnie, and Tinker Bell. It all kind of has to do with us... Mickey and Minnie for obvious reasons. I added the Tinker Bell ones because he proposed at the Magic Kingdom right after she flew over during Wishes. :)Everyone I have spoken to after the wedding have said nothing but good things about our Disney touch and how pretty and classy it all was.
