I'm receiving a few of the items off my registry for Christmas gifts. I know I'm not supposed to use anything until after the wedding in case plans fall through and the gifts need to be returned, and that's not a problem. Maybe a silly question that will make me look like a complete ignoramus, but since the items are fragile, should I go ahead and open the boxes to inspect the contents and make sure everything is intact? Thanks!
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

Send thanks yous, as you should for any gift you receive - Christmas, birthday, shower, wedding, etc.
SInce they are Christmas gifts, and not early wedding presents, then by all means, send the appropriate thank you note, and start using them!
