Chuppah In SA?

Does anyone know where to rent a chuppah in San Antonio? My florist gave me a crazy expensive quote so I'm hoping to find something reasonable. I'm fine with a plain one that my florist could add flowers to and dress up.Thanks in advance!

My wedding coordinator's father is actually building one for her to rent to brides in the future...I think I'll be the first to use it in Decemeber! Rental companies usually can offer the piping for you to rent and decorate yourself. The caterers "Black Tie Affairs" quoted me a very reasonable price for the piping when I was considering them for catering. I think $30 or so. I'm not sure if they would do the rental if you weren't using them as a caterer though. You can always make your own (you can google it). You could also ask local synagogues if they rent them out but I'm not sure how that would fly if you were an interfaith couple (that's my situation).

Thanks Rachel. I'll contact Black Tie Affairs to see if they could help me. I figured Aztec Party Rentals would have them to rent too, but they'd have to get theirs from Houston! The JCC didn't have one to rent and I kind of doubt the synagogues would rent one to us since we're having an interfaith ceremony at a church ;). I'm sure it wouldn't be too challenging to make one. . .I might have to look into that.

If you have 4 chuppah bearers, they are easy to make. Even without, you can just fill 4 pots with dirt and rocks, and have your florist add flowers to it.http://www.do-it-yourself-weddings.com/wedding-chuppah.html
