What is everybody doing for programs?

We'd like to make them ourselves. Are there some easy/inexpensive ways to make a booklet-type program at home?

We are going to do ours at home too. We are folding a piece of cardstock as the outer part then printing an insert and folding it inside. We haven't decided how to fasten, although it doesn't have to be fastened depending on how formal you want them to be.

We made our own. Same as above: folded cardstock, folded paper inside that is printed on all sides. PIBWe used ribbon to attach it all.

I am making them.  Somewhat confusing directions, but very easy to make. We are fitting 8 pages onto 1 sheet of cardstock.  I cut it in half length-wise.  That enabled me to figure out where each page would go.  Then, I formatted and printed them double sided.  I only have to make 1 cut per program and it all first on 1 sheet of paper.  The outside cover is scrapbooking paper that I got on super sale.  It is being held together by ribbon binding.  PIB.

We are also doing our programs at home - using 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper folded in half, we will double side the program information and will use a heavier piece of cardstock for the cover - the programs will then be hole-punched at the crease and tied with ribbon.

We made them ourselves. Just used metallic paper on the outside, regular paper on the inside, punched some holes and strung some ribbon through to tie it all together. It was easy and looked nice.

OK this is a really dumb question, but when you fold an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper in half for the program, how do you format the text in Word (or whatever program you used?) to print just right?
