had an awww moment

My 8 year old son, who LOVES my FI, asked me last week if he would also be able to change his last name after I get married. I had to sit him down and explain that he would be keeping his name because his daddy loves him very much. (My son was actually a little crushed...which broke my heart.) So I told him he could change his name to whatever he wanted as soon as he turned 18...and he was very happy about that! Then my 14 year old son, who lives with his dad over 600 miles away called me last night.  We were talking and he was telling me how he's been getting applications for jobs so he can start working as soon as he's 15 in January.  He asks if we've thought about a cake for the wedding yet. (Now I'm shocked that a 14 year old boy who listens to Disturbed and Slipknot is thinking about wedding cakes!)He tells me that he found a company that has awesome cupcakes in TN and when he starts working he can buy a bunch and bring them up for us for the wedding.  I told him that it was not necessary...and he, rather sternly, tells me that he WILL be a part of this wedding! :D  I reminded him that he is a groomsman and an usher...and he said that wasn't enough.  Awwwwwwwwww!  Warms my heart to know that my kids are so amazing through all of this!  Just wanted to do a little "mommy bragging."
