Heard of The Night Hotel??

Hi

I went to view the Night Hotel this weekend and it was ok. They're going through a major renovation and the pics of how it's going to look was very impressive. It used to be Holiday Inn off of 635 and Josey. Has anyone had their reception  there??

Re: Heard of The Night Hotel??

  • I havent heard of any receptions there, but I had friends come in from out of town and stayed there (even though I live in the colony.. it was a pain to pick them up every day!).
It seemed like it was going to be realyl nice when it was done, but the construction around it was a NIGHTMARE to get to. When are you planning on getting married, and when are they projecting renovations to be done?

  • I know the construction suks. I'm getting married in May next year. The guy said they were hoping to be done in Jan, no later than March.  If it's not done I will be totally upset. Did your friends like the hotel? What about the service they recvd?

  • I'd be more worried about the construction on 635 then the hotel renovations.
  • Hi Niquemel

I've thought about that also, but most of my fam wont have to get on 635. When we went this weekend we took Valley View and didnt touch 635.If the construction is still bad next year, I will be sure to include alternate routes with the invites. Only a select few will have to use 635.

Take it from someone who goes through this area everyday... it is a PAIN. There isn't even an exit ramp on i635 eastbound for Josey anymore (and won't be for some time). There are random entire highway closures and sometimes on weekends (especially at night) the wait time can be 2-3 hours just to go a few miles. Omni Park West, Nylo Las Colinas, and all the hotels near the airport might be better options with less chance of transportation logistic failure. <div>
</div><div>Also, this area can seem somewhat hit or miss in terms of feeling safe. Just a thought. </div>
  • In 2010 I stayed here for a week when I was in training for a job and the hotel was awful!  make sure they have re-done the rooms too if you have guests stay there.  We complained about it everyday.  Our hotel room floor was flooded and the halls smelled like mildew, outlets didnt work, there were bugs in the rooms.  Just really check it out, it might not be that way anymore.

  • O wow.. This scares me Ha.. I know it seemed too good to be true. They were giving me the same exact rate to have my reception there on a Saturday instead of Sunday. Everyone else has high rates for Saturday. They're suppose to re-do the whole hotel.. Hmmm I think I will most not pick this one. If it seems too goos to be true, It probably is huh. • I would be very concerned with the hotel reno being finished just two months before my wedding.  That is stress you don't need.
