John Cipolla is STILL doing thisand not all of the 16 couples who filed these complaints in 2011 have received their video saying he is almost done with your video and gives you a date of when it will be complete but that date comes and goes and you still have no video. That's if you are lucky enough to get him to respond.
As of now we have been waiting over 9 months for our video and john has given us 4 completion dates that have come and gone. Continuing to say its almost done which he has said since Aprilwhich was 3 months past the due date listed in our contract It is obvious now that he does not plan to fulfill his contract. We have been in touch with 4 other couples who are currently in this same situation. Some have been waiting over a year and no response from John.
Stay away from this vendor!!
If you have used him, please contact me for further information. Kristinsimmons2011gmail.com

Re: ScamAlertWeddingStoriesRI

  • I question the credibility of any poster on these boards whose entire post history is about a single vendor (positive or negative)
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • There's actually some information on the Attorney General's website for Rhode Island- which the OP linked to.
  • I"ve also read news articles on this/one of the local news channels did a story on it..  I think Kristine is trying to do a public service...its really easy for negative reviews to get pushed down and in the conversations.  The main guy responsible is also trying to start a business under a new name while ignoring the many commitments that are ongoing, , so thats part of the reason.

Thank you lalans and moonlight. Yes my posting history is negative about 1 vendor as it is a warning to those brides who are considering this vendor. I would hope someone would do the same for others. These are facts, that is why there is a link to an official document. I have already helped 2 brides avoid using this vendor and they were very appreciative for the warning. It's not fair that someone can do this and think they can get away with it. My stance now is to inform all brides of this scam so that I can help others to never have to be in the situation I am in. It's the biggest day of your life and you trust someone to capture it and deliver what you paid them for. It's really disgusting that he can take advantage of brides. There is already another filing with the AG office so I'm sure you will see his name again. Also be aware that the knot removed my post about him in June. Obviously the vendors have some pull with this 'open' forum. Be cautious of those 'best of the knot' awards how this guy has some is very perplexing.
