I've been a bridesmaid in a few weddings and have gotten more than one dress from Wendy's Bridal on Sawmill. It was an ok experience but I didn't love their customer service. The one dress was awesome though. I have worn it again and again.

We went with Davids Bridal (Easton location) for the girls' dresses. Reasons why:

-Price. No one spent more than $130 on their dress.

-Variety. Lots of different options in the same color, and I let all six of the girls choose whichever style they liked in the the color I picked.

-Convenience. My girls are spread out all over Ohio, and they all had a DB within a 15 minute drive of their house.

-Color matches with Mens Wearhouse. We're going to get the guys' tuxes through Mens Wearhouse, which has vests that are exact color matches to DB colors. I didn't want the colors to be off.

Good luck with your bridesmaid dress shopping! :)

The 5 girls that were in the central Ohio area purchased their dresses from DB on Sawmill Rd. I had one BM that purchased hers in VA.

    Reasons:

-color coordinated the GM's tuxes which we rented through MW
-convienient bc we live out of state
    -price: all were below $130
-they could definitely all wear them again
-the dresses I picked even had pockets and the girls loved them

We went to a cpl of Davids Bridal but I ended up getting them at the Davids Bridal @ the Kenwood mall in Cincinnati - I just liked them better them other places. They had a variety and my girls got their dresses for great prices!

I actually got mine from The Limited.  They have a bridal section now but it's only available online.  I wanted a simple gray dress that the girls would be able to wear again.  They ended up getting a great deal on Black Friday when everything was 40% off & shipping was free.  The dresses ended up being around $55!

We got ours at David's Bridal as well.  My bridesmaid were spread out around Ohio and out-of-state, so it was just convenient to use a chain.  I bought my dress from David's, so my maids got some money off that way too.  I really liked the bridesmaid dresses we chose - I just let my sister (the moh) choose her fav, and we went with that.  I just told her color and length.  In Columbus, we used the Sawmill location, I would recommend.

Sounds like I might be the odd one out. We got ours through La Jeune Mariee. I was looking for something elegant, floor length, with lots of options in our wedding colors. We looked at David's- their fits didn't work well with the bridesmaid I brought and their colors were off from the colors actually used in our wedding (Tiffany blue/aqua and pewter). I came across the Watters/WTOO lines that had a lot of options in our exact colors. We went to Alan Ray first and while although they had a decent selection, they told me I would have to pay rush (additional $30 per dress and the wedding was 4 months away). Bad customer experience overall.

We then went to La Jeune Mariee and found the perfect dresses! They had great service and a great selection of dresses. I was able to take the girls in on multiple trips, they were organized and kept all of the girl's measurements and dress on file, and their prices were better than Alan Ray's (before rush, and I didn't have to pay for rush shipping). The dresses came in only a week late, and the girls loved their dresses. I gave my BMs general guidelines but each girl found a different dress they felt and looked amazing in. The dresses looked great in person and in photos!

we went to Wendy's.  i have always had a good experience there.  i heard there is a place in lancaster that is really cheap and they get 20% off if you get your dress there.  not sure of the name of the place.

We went to The Bridal Plantaion on Noe Bixby Rd. LOVED IT!!! Their prices are very reasonable and we got excellent customer service! We were on time constraints that day because one of my girls had a prior engagement. I had called to notify the shop of the time issue, so they had pulled all the dresses I had picked out for the girls to try on and they were ready and wating in a fitting room when we got there. They even offered to ship my sister's to her for free because she lives in California! Now I will say that we are in the beginning processes, but my overall experience so far with them has been VERY positive! AND they have tux rentals as well....if you have 5 groomsmen, the groom gets his for free :)

I am getting my bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal. I got my dress there so the girls all get $20 off. I also have gotten a few BM dresses from there for some of my friends weddings and they seem like they are not only really affordable, but they have nice styles and good colors. The dresses also come in really quick! I did get a BM dress from Wendy's bridal and was not too happy w/ their customer service. I thought they were all pretty rude actually.

JCrew Bridal.  I can't say enough good things, the most of the girls have worn their dress again :)  I'd say cost avg out to $200/dress (they each picked out their own).  The only big downside is that you have to be flexible with your color choices, as they don't have a big color scheme like a regular bridal shop.  But the quality and fit of the dresses are like "normal", high end dresses.  A few of the bridesmaids and I took a weekend trip to Chicago to try some on for fun and had a blast, but everyone ended up just ordering online or over the phone.  Everyone received their dress about a week after ordering.  2 of the girls decided to go to their local JCrew store to have an associate measure them to be sure which size to order.  Only 1 girl had to send hers back for a different size, but she had a new dress in hand in 8 days.  (if the dress is not on sale, returns are 'no questions asked', which is super comforting)  Only one girl needed alterations.

I got mine from Alan Ray Bridal.  All of my bridesmaids were out of state and they handled it beautifully.

"Universe Bride" in Coshocton otherwise known as "Unusual Junction" http://www.theunusualjunction.com/Universe.html

Haven't gotten my dress or BM dresses yet (still 18 months to go!) but I will CERTAINLY be going there to get my dress and I highly suggest you take a drive out there and look around, It won't be a waste of your time or gas.
Plus there's a little deli/eatery attached to it, so you can sit down with your BM's & treat them to lunch!

BCsGal - my girls loved the dress you picked for your BMS. It was between that one or the one they ended up getting!!
