October 2012 Weddings

introductions

How do you plan on being introduced if you are not changing your name?

I do not want to be introduced by both our first and last names. Would you just say new Mr and Mrs? Or just say first names?

Re: introductions

  • Since we are not getting legally married until some time next year we are going to be announced as Mr and Mrs Awesome. We felt it was our best option but if you didnt want to do something like that you could just say the new MR and MRS.

Ya that's an idea I was kicking around. I just dont want whatever it is to call attention to the fact I'm not changing my name, but also not imply I am. It's a bit of a sore subject for FI and I don't want questions on it on the wedding day. Then again I have never paid any attention to what other people do for this at their wedding.
  • If you don't want to call attention to it having the DJ/MC just say "Bride and Groom" or "Jane and John" is a good way to go about it, though people will probably still assume you are changing.

  • I would go with "Bride and Groom"

Youre having a wedding in october but not getting married until some time next year? OR I would Bride Groom and your first names.
