What do you think about this....

FI and I are HUGE Tigers fans!  We are getting married May 2013.  I originally wanted to do a candy buffett but after thinking about it I thought it might be cool to do a "Tigers theme" buffett..I was thinking peanuts, cracker jack, big leauge chew, orange and blue M&M;s and a popcorn machine....
We are also doing beer koozies as favors...They say our names and "Beerly Beloved"

Just curious what you think...I wanted to do something different.  Our wedding is pretty casual, no frills just personal and simple.  I thought that would be fun!

    Honestly, I like everything except Beerly Beloved.  This is your wedding, not a frat party, I think you should come up with something more wedding-y or nix the beer coozies.  Save those for the rock concerts.

    Great idea!  I like the beer coozies, it's a favor people would actually use.  I've seen beer coozies as favors at one other wedding and thought it was hilarious and fit the couple's personality perfectly.

    Having been around the Knot for so many years, I sort of agree on the beer coozies.... we have a few of them, but they were not wedding favors.

    However, I totally love the rest of your ideas. We are massive Tiger fans and the "entrance song" for our wedding was the Home Run song from the movie "The Natural".......THAT's how much we love baseball!

    ACO hardware stores have boxes of baseball animal crackers with the Tiger logo on them for $1 a box. Bought some for Kevin's granddaughter. They are really cute, you might want to see if you can get a large order of them.

    Another idea I've seen from baseball fans (there is a Sports Theme Board to the left, under "Wedding Theme" link) is to use a team jersey as your guest book. You can have a jersey made from MLB with any name or nunber on it. You could do your new last name and put the number 13 on it for 2013, or something like that, then people could sign and you could put it in a shadow box.

    GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for all the replies! I'm glad you guys think it's a good idea

    The koozies are just a fun extra....I would say 80% of our guests are boaters. We are avid boaters as well, and we LOVE our koozies....I know they will be used with love out on the lake next summer, so that was why we decided on koozies. :)  The saying fits our personalities...we are fun loving people with a sense of humor....The koozies that say "Eat Drink and Be Married"  or "To have and to hold and keep my beer cold" are not our style at all.

    The wedding is about 150 close friends and 30 relatives, so I know they are all going to appreciate them and the humor in it! Honestly, they would expect nothing less from us than "Beerly Beloved" lol 

    I love reading everyones ideas! Such creativity on these boards.  :)

    I love all your ideas, if it represents what you love as a couple and you are fun-loving, I think its a great idea! As far as the coozies, people use them all the time and I've been to a few weddings where those were the favors, the last a lot longer and are more functional. One couple used the "Getting hitched" rather than "beerly beloved" but the possibilties are endless!
