Acoustic Trio versus an iPod playlist????

We are having a small wedding and reception at Ralph's on the Park.  Because we did not rent out the entire floor we are unable to have a DJ, etc.  We can, however, use an ipod doc or an acoustic trio.  Looking for any advice or suggestions!  Thanks!!

    I prefer live music. Especially for a special event, like a wedding, because it just sets the tone for a more personal experience. 

    Anyone can hook up an ipod and make a playlist. Not everyone hires professional musicians, therefore making it more of a treat for you and your guests. 

    If I were you and hosting a small wedding with these options, I would hire an acoustic trio in a heartbeat. Live music transforms a regular setting (like a park) into something special (for your wedding). Don't worry about dancing... people who enjoy dancing will dance no matter what kind of music is playing, so long as it's being played.
