hired musician/invitation???

Okay, so I hired an acquaintance of mine (we were in marching band together at Iowa State) to play trumpet for our wedding.  Should I be sending a formal invitation to him and his wife for the wedding or should I treat him just like the caterer, etc. as a vendor?

    If they're a close acquaintance and you would have invited them anyway, I would send them an invitation.  If not, then I would just treat them as a normal vendor.

    Turtle1573,I am interested in the Simpson Barn for my wedding ceremony and reception.  How did you hear about it?  Have you seen any pictures of a wedding there?  Where are you planning on having the ceremony outside?  I would love to see some more pictures of it besides the website if you know of any.  Thanks
