Anyone want to loose weight with me?

So really I've just been wanting to loose 10 lbs for a few years now and now that my wedding is in March...I really need the motivation.  I usually exercise about 2-3 times a week but it only maintains my weight.  Is there anyone that would like to blog with me to keep me accountable and motivated to loose?  :)

Should we blog on here or how should we do this??  My weakness is sweets and snacking...especially since last thursday was my birthday and now I have a delicious cake in my kitchen that my fiances mom made for me.  Any ideas on a better way to blog?

I guess doing it here would be best. I don't know where else we could, but I'm open to suggestions! What kind of diet/workout plans are you following?

I was reading Self magazine and it said to loose  8 lbs in 4 weeks you need to work out 350 minutes a week...so I started today and worked out 60 minutes at a step class.  For diet it suggests 400 calories for breakfast, 400 calories for lunch, and 500 calories for dinner with 150 calorie snack and and 150 calorie treat.  I think my fiance and I may go ride bikes at the park later too :).  My problem is on the weekends I don't eat breakfast...like this morning after the gym I just ate a handful of cheese its lol.  Anyway...what is your plan?

Oh also I found this website called Blogger.com.  You can sign up and several people can blog together on one page.  I, unfortunatly, am not that computer savy...does anyone want to try to set one up?

Sorry - I've had a crazy schedule at work this week and haven't even worked out once! I checked out the Self workout though, and it looks good. How have you done this week?

Hey ladies! My wedding in May and would love to loose 10 lbs. I already lost 20 lbs in 4 months. I did this mainly because of health reasons but it was well overdue regardless. Learned that I have some intolerence to gluten that were causing various symptoms. I always wondered what those gluten free symbols were for at the grocery stores! Anyway, I saw an acupucturist/Chinese medicine doctor who works a lot with digestive issues. I can talk more about the dietary changes if anyone is interested. Most my weight dropped from these dietary changes and not a workout routine. I had to vary my workout routine to stay interested and engaged. I added yoga to my schedule and completely transformed my upper body. That 2 times per week along with 3 days of other workouts. If you have FitTV try recording some of their Namaste Yoga and Cardio Blast workouts to get started. Saves money and keeps things fresh. An idea...if everyone has Facebook we could create a discussion group. Meetup.com is also free and would allow people to plan 'get-togethers' to help brainstorm.Thoughts? :)

Hi all, I've started a full-body workout schedule. I do weight training Mon-Wed-Fri with light cardio on the odd days. I would like to start Yoga or Pilates as well to streamline my muscles as I weight train. I will see what videos I can find plus my gym offers yoga twice a week during lunch. I'm eating lighter lunches and dinners and I drink a minimum of 8-glasses of water a day now. Is twice a week enough for yoga or pilates or should I do more?

Sorry it took me so long to read the posts again! If you are looking to incorporate yoga into your routine I would say 2 times a week is great. If you can fit 3 times in you will probably notice even more arm definition. I am trying to up my attendence at classes to 3 times myself. Pilates is great for the core and usually even a 20 minute Windsor video a few times a week before dinner or something will start to make a difference. I need to be listening to my own advice and get back on track! The last few weeks have been nuts as my FI had an emergency appendectomy and just now is becoming more mobile! Hope this helps.

Hi Ladies, Here's my update: I'm 5'9 and started this program at 162 pounds. I've lost six pounds since starting my total body workout routine on the 8th of September; so that's just a little over a pound a week. I suspect that I will continue to lose at that rate until I hit around 150 which is where I was before getting on the medication that caused me to gain 12 pounds in 3 months. I stopped the medication so I expect to have to really intensify/change my workout when I hit 150. My original goal was to loose the 12 pounds (back to 150) plus another 10-12 pounds. I'm feeling good and can see a definite change in my body because I've lost inches/body fat already. Weight training is great!!! I'd forgotten how much it can benefit me. I also do sprint drills once a week for cardio and about 20 minutes of pilates with a band twice a week. Good luck to all.
