Maggianos room sizes

Hi Everyone.I know this question has been asked before but i cant find it.Anyone who has had a reception in Maggianos can you please tell me which room you had and how many guests. Im coming over from UK so am unsure on how many guests i will have. Im thinking around 20 -30. I would rather have the calabria room as this has a bar in, but would it look really empty if only 20 come. Any one who has had the Abruzzi room, what was it like?Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanksx

Hi fellow UK bride!I am getting married in 4 weeks today and we are holding our reception at Maggiano's in the Calabria room! We have 33 guests including the Bride and Groom.  I think 35 guests is the max in this room if you want a bit of a dancefloor. So I don't think you would want to go for anything smaller.  If you have an email address I can email you the plan for the room we have with how the tables we are having will be set out. When i'm back from honeymoon I will do reviews and post photo's of the room for you to see.

we are having 30 guests (including bride and groom) and using the calabria room.  we liked the idea of having a bar inside the room and also an area for dancing.  we're using their ipod dock.  i wasn't sure how many people were coming but i thought if it was more than 25, the abruzzi looked too small since we wanted space to dance.

We are having our wedding reception in the Calabria room as well but we're really filling it up with approx. 50 guests. We're having 6 tables and a very small dance floor but Cassie said that a lot of brides do this.

I'm glad to hear someone else is doing 50 in Calabria. I was beginning to think I might have made a mistake in only reserving that room.  We don't plan on having a dance floor though, so that should help.

I wish we could afford the extra $1500 it would cost to get the DiCarlo room as well though...did Maggiano's tell you how big the dance area would be with 50 people? Hey I checked out your bio (I sooo need to get mine started!) and I see your reception will be at the same time as mine, do you know what you're doing after the reception? Are you working with any of Maggiano's preferred vendors?

Melinda and Kristie YGM!! I was really concerned when I asked about a dance floor and I was told with the tables we are having there wouldn't be much... I think it is because we didn't want all round tables. We are having a top table for 6 people and then 4 round tables.  I am hoping the dance floor will be big enough for at least 10-15 people to dance as most of our guest coming to Vegas all love a boogie at a wedding!! They may just have to take turns... as me in my dress will take up about 3 people's room to dance heehee! We really wanted to have more than one room but the budget wouldn't allow us to :(  We asked for an additional hour too but they wanted an extra $750 to have the room for another hour and that was just room hire, it would then revert to a cash bar!!  I think compared to UK reception places that is my only negative so far about Maggiano's! I wish that when it was an evening reception they let you have the room till at least 11pm, in the UK midnight is normally the closing up time :(:( I am sure everyone is going to have a blast though! They get such fab reviews and even though i've only had contact with them over email so far i am really pleased with them!

After the reception we're planning to hit up a club and call it the after party.  However, it's FI's job to work all that out.

I agree, Maggiano's has been great to work with so far but my personal pet peeve is they charge $75 to use the ipod dock/sound system and $250 to use their projector/screen for a slideshow! You would think in this economy they would give us a break and just include them in the room minimum. When I was looking into reception places, I checked out Grand Lux Cafe at the Palazzo and Rich said those things were included - NO extra charge! But I liked the room better at Maggiano's with the balcony and everything so I guess I just need to suck it up LOL.

Thanks for the floor plan Vicky.  It looks great.  I am trying to justify to myself spending more to move from the DiCarlo room to Calabria for 26 people because of the bar/patio/dance floor.  If all 26 people come it would be worth it but if they don't then it is going to be a VERY expensive empty looking room :(

I have the DiCarlo and Calabria room's for my wedding and I am still unsure if it will be enough space. I have checked out some of the pics from the Vegas knotties list brides that had receptions at Maggiano's and that really helped to put the space in perspective. I will also be looking at the space when we do our site visits in October.

I had 68 people over 9 tables, plus a sweetheart table and a dance floor.  We had the Calabria and Abruzzi rooms.  I just uploaded my floorplan to the reviews in my married bio.
