I'm located in Indianapolis.  Yes, I've seen their work online, I've seen their prices, and I've met them and still can not decide!!!

I was going to meet with Summerly Photography but, she kept telling me how busy she was and how hard it was going to be to shoot all the weddings she had that month. It just turned me off. I certainly don't want to feel like my wedding is a burden to my photographer.

Spim7-  Are you serious? Did you ever actually meet her?  I'm supposed to meet her tomorrow evening.  She didn't seem to want to travel much just to meet....   But her prices are so low, and her pics look good I think!  Gosh, I don't know what to do!!!

Lovngirl & Spim...Athough it seems that I may want to shy away from Summerly Photography, can someone please give me the link to her site? I'm just curious.

Ok, so based on the 2 photographers who are close in pricing ($100 difference)Clayborn has 2 photographers shooting and I will get 200 4x6 proofs that can be used for albums.Breana gives a digital album (20 pages) but only 1 photographer, but she is more our age. I am so confused!!!

I did a general search and for whatever reason couldn't find it.  Thanks though!!

Do either or both of them give you the rights to the photos?  If one of them does then go with that one.  You definitely want the rights to your photos so you can print whatever you want whenever you want.  If they both give you the rights, then go with the one you think you will be most comfortable with the day of.

They both give the rights to the photos.  And I'm very comfortable with both of them!  One said she will cover the whole event but usually doesnt stay for the last person to leave because she gets repeated photos over and over- but she will if we want her to. she said she would ask us if there is any other photos we want her to take. Where as the other girl is based on time, which I am going to do 8 hours.

Go with the unlimited time person!  We had ours shooting for way longer than 8 hours and they didn't shoot the whole reception (I told them they were done they didn't just stop).  I hate it when they try and put a time limit on you...you never know how long the day will be!

I found it now lovn!! Gees! LOL!

I agree with Chrissy about the time limits. BUT .. I don't like the sound of the one gal that sounded like she didn't like to travel and was real negative to the other knottie. I used to brush those kinds of things off but after going through everything I went through with certain vendors .. trust me when I say to go with your gut!! If you get even the slightest feeling they won't give you 100% .. do not go with them!

    JONSMESHONDRA-  WHAT ARE YOU GEES-ING?
  • edited December 2011
I have to agree fully w/Kmarcov--if you at all get the feeling the photographer is not giving 100%--BAIL!! Also, luvn, thought you were trying to tease me about not being able to find the webite!! If so...funny. If not, my bad! LOL I was just kidding w/the Gees comment.

Before you make a decision contact Jamie Vester.  www.jamievester.com. She will give you an amazing price and give you access to EVERY single photo she takes.  She took over 1000 photos at my sister's wedding.  She is FANTASTIC!!!!

Thanks for everyones help! Still undecided.  I like breana boellner and FI likes Clayborn....  Clayborn did discount the pricing more than the other one did when I asked for one....  I think I might have to go with Clayborn...  Ya I like the other pics better, but she and her husband both take photos and the time is unlimited!

To me I think its completely a no-brainer. You actually said you liked the one photographer's work better, but the other photographer discounted more so you might go with them. If you actually care about photography you should get the better photographer. Isn't that what it comes down to? If you just want a good deal, then just ask some college kid to take your photos and save more money altogether. You get what you pay for I've learned. In my opinion, if the other photographer is willing to drop their prices its because they aren't getting enough business for a reason. Its one thing to not be able to afford exactly what you want, but if they are really that similar in price, you should choose the person who best fits your style both photographically and personally. I hope this helps.
