Ana Paz vs We Take the Cake

I need help! We did our tasting with both today but I can't decide. I told FI he had to choose but I told him first I would consult with fellow knotties :) I would like to hear about horror stories as well as happy stories with each. I don't think We Take the Cake is as popular on here but still will take any advise.Oh and these are the only two that are included in our hotel package.TIA!!!

    I'm using we take the cake - I have ordered from there before for other things and loveeee them. They are on oprah's fav things list too! I have my tasting with them next week I can keep you posted :)

    I swung by We Take the Cake today. Their key lime cake is TO DIE!!! I have no experience with Ana Paz to speak of...

    I would go with We Take the Cake! They are nationally known for their excellent cakes.

    i don't know what cake vendor i'm using but i just  came in here to say that We Take the Cake's  Key Lime cake is Amazing.  i get a slice everytime i go to whole foods. yum!

    Personally, I would choose We Take the Cake. Nothing against Ana Paz, but because she now has several locations and is on pretty much every hotel package, the cakes tend to be hit or miss. I've tasted some that are amazing and then some where the cake was dry. We Take The Cake is a smaller scale shop and seems to hit it out of the park every time.  When I could still eat cake, I would occassionally buy a slice at Whole Foods.  If you didn't know already, WTTC sells their batter to Whole Foods and then Whole Foods bakes it. I'm hoping they will be able to bake me a gluten free cake...fingers crossed.

    I highly recommend We Take the Cake.  They made the cake from my BS and the wedding.  Everyone raved about it.  For the BS, I had the butter vanilla with raspberry (I think) preserves as the filling.  Everyone asked if the wedding cake was going to be done by the same baker.  lol  We had Strawberry with cream cheese icing filling and Chocolate with chocolate icing/fudge with raspberry for the wedding cake.  They did a wonderful job on the decorating too.  It came out just like I wanted.  PIB.
