Jersey Shore Venues that allow outside caterers??

Hi everyone!

My fiance' and I just recently got engaged, and are planning a May 2014 wedding. Though it seems like a lot of time, I am starting my first teaching job in the fall, so I expect the next year to fly by! 

I am looking for a reception venue that would allow an outside caterer. I already have a great caterer in mind (Cater 2 U from Mt. Laurel), and am hoping to find a venue near the Ocean City area that would allow them to cater the reception.

Any adivce would be much appreciated! I am trying to go for a funky, relaxed beach vibe for the wedding. I am even open to renting a tent and having the wedding/recpetion on the beach or in a nice park.

    Ocean City is a great location for outdoor weddings. My cousin had hers on the 59 st beach, under the pavilion there, then had the whole thing catered as well, she just applied for the beach permits (but the weather is a deal breaker). The yacht club and the Flanders hotel are great venues (a little pricey), and a great bay venue is the Tuckahoe Inn, in Beasley's Point on the bay.

    If you are willing to go down to Stone Harbor, The Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor has a great location (RIGHT on the beach) and you can tent outside and must bring in all of your vendors. I'm having my reception there next summer - it will accomodate 200 guests under the tent! AND it is super affordable!

    When I was looking I was shown several and I believe one was down that way on the water.  I would booked through Primo Events, they showed me 3 outside locations and im in NJ south as well.  Its worth a shot.  Also try park commisions.
