Poll: FAVORS

It's Thursday and an earlier favor post has had me looking at gourmet cookies all afternoon, so... What did you give/are you giving as wedding favors? Did you budget a certain price per person? Should wedding favors be functional or just for fun? What's the best favor you ever took home? The worst?

What did you give/are you giving as wedding favors? Probably something edible...The worst? Anything not edible...  I've received little picture frames, tree ornaments, ...  they just get thrown away.

What did you give/are you giving as wedding favors? We'd LIKE to give a fresh pomegranate to each person; backup is a mangoDid you budget a certain price per person? Not really, but I'd like under $3.  If pomegranates are super expensive (they might be since it's off season), we might go with the mangos insteadShould wedding favors be functional or just for fun? either is fine. What's the best favor you ever took home? recipes! The worst? hmmm...nothing TOO bad--we got coasters recently...which isn't bad bc we use coasters--the only thing I don't like is that they are glass, and we tend to break stuff that's glass!

What did you give/are you giving as wedding favors? We are thinking of getting extra cupcakes and Chinese food containers (in pink) for people to bring them home in.  They're going to be in fun flavors...i actually found a baker to make my favorite, funfetti!  Also, my mother is DEAD SET on a candy bar, so that counts I guess too?  I'm trying to change that to a cookie bar.Did you budget a certain price per person? No, trying to keep it inexpensive though!  But if the parentals want to pay for a candy bar, who am i to stop them Should wedding favors be functional or just for fun? Ummm functional in the sense I can eat them hahaWhat's the best favor you ever took home? A big cookie that apparently had half a stick of butter in it.  The worst? Um, probably also the cookie, because I ingested so many calories. If you didn't figure it out, I think favors should be edible :)

We are giving away maple leaf trivets. My dad bought the wood and it making one for each couple attending the wedding. We didn't really have a budget in mind. In fact, I wasn't even going to do favors but then my Dad came up with this idea. We are going to tie a red ribbon and a tag around each one. I'm pretty excited. I hope that our guests will like them/use them. In general, I am a fan of edible favors.
