Hello!In my quest for a beautiful outdoor space, I finally found it and have booked a venue!I visited Wildwood Recreation Area last weekend, near Welches, OR. The park is absolutely beautiful-deep moss covered forest on the beautiful Salmon River, feels new and clean with many cool exhibits. There is a little ampitheatre near the Salmon River Shelter that would be perfect for a very small ceremony. . . but where to have the reception? There are very nice picnic shelters there, but were worried about a cold day and there is no amplified music allowed.Wildwood is very near the Resort at the Mountain, but I honestly didn't want to spend that much money and it just didn't feel like the right fit.. Then I found the Mt Hood Museum and Cultural Center.

We will be using Busy Bee Catering from Welches.Just wanted to share. . we are excited for a July 17, 2010 wedding. Anyone know anything about the sites I mentioned?We did also visit Horning's Hideout last weekend and loved the site and the owner was GREAT. We were actually pretty convinced it was the place for us until we saw the forest at Wildwood. I definitely still recommend Horning's Hideout!
