Thanks for your response to my Lighthouse Point question last week! I'm super jealous that you lived on West Cliff - how did you manage that? It's one of my favorite places in the world! My question for you is: If we were to have our ceremony at Lighthouse Point, do you think I should be concerned about parking? I know there are lots of parking spaces around, but if our group has 30ish cars are they going to have a hard time finding spaces? I've never had a problem parking there, but I'm only one car! I can definetely encourage people to carpool if they're at the same hotel, but I don't think a shuttle is in our budget. Thanks :D

It was an 8 bedroom house, and the rent for my bedroom was typical Santa Cruz--muy expensive!!! But so, so nice to hear the waves crashing. Sometimes the sea lions barking would wake me up they were so loud! I wouldn't worry about parking, because at least when I lived there (2004-2007), parking was permitted on the street in the residential neighborhoods flanking Westcliff. At one point I lived on National Street--three blocks from the lighthouse--and people would park on that street no prob. I would tell guests on your wedding website or through the grapevine to scope out neighboring streets if the parking on Westcliff is all taken. In addition, if you want to be totally fail-proof, you could have a designated person with a 12 person rental van hang out at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk public parking lot and shuttle guests. That way if there are some guests just struggling to find a parking spot, they could just go down the street and park there and be shuttled. Good luck and congrats on your wedding!!! It's a gorgeous spot!!!
