Program help

Our music director has given us a paper detailing the order of the Liturgy for our marriage.  I would like to take this and put it into a program for our guests, many of whom are not Catholic.  I'd like to provide enough information so they know what's going on, but not so much that it's overwhelming or too cluttered in the program.  Can you help me edit out the sections that maybe I don't need to include in the program?  Or should I just keep it all?  Here's everything they provided us:

Entrance Rite
Procession - Canon in D (Pachelbel)
     Opening Prayer

Liturgy of the Word
Old Testament Reading (hasn't been chosen yet)
Responsorial Psalm - Blest Are Those Who Love You (Haugen)
New Testament Reading (hasn't been chosen yet)
     Gospel Acclamation - Celtic Alleluia
     Homily

Rite of Marriage
     Exchange of Vows
     Blessing and Exchange of Rings
     Prayer of the Faithful

Liturgy of the Eucharist
Preparation of the Gifts - Many Gifts, One Spirit (Pote)
     Prayer over the gifts
     Preface
Holy, Holy, Holy - Mass of Creation
Memorial Acclamation - Mass of Creation
The Great Amen - Mass of Creation
     The Lord's Prayer
     Nuptial Blessing
     Sign of Peace
Lamb of God - Mass of Creation
Communion Song - The Supper of the Lord (Rosania)
     Meditation
     Prayer after Communion
Dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary - Ave Maria

Blessing and Recessional
     Final Blessing
     Recessional - Trumpet Voluntary (Clarke)

I don't think I'd edit anything out - I married a Catholic, did a Catholic wedding, but am not Catholic myself, so I appreciate programs that give a good amount of detail.  I would even say that you could ADD notes about when people are supposed to stand/kneel/sit - this can be really awkward if you're not used to the flow of the service.

I plan on adding notes like that, but before I even begin to write my program I just wanted to know what areas, if any, people thought could be taken out.  Thanks for the input though.

Unless most of your guests are Catholic, I wouldn't take anything out.  People like to know what's going on during the ceremony and to anticipate what's coming up.  If anything, I'd flesh everything out by adding in responses and maybe summarizing the readings so that people get the gist of the message.

I made a pretty detailed program.  It's in my bio under paper/DIY if you want to look.

Blackfire- I find it interesting that all of your Big music pieces were ones that aren't supposed to be used in a Catholic ceremony

Looks good to me! I used the outline here: http://www.catholicweddinghelp.com/topics/catholic-wedding-program-template-mass.htm

Cannon in D and Trumpet Voluntary aren't supposed to be used in a Catholic wedding, really? I have never heard that. We have used both of those in numerous Catholic weddings in my family and my Grandfather is a Deacon....I'm confused.

We are using Canon in D also.  We have a very laid back priest and basically said as long as the music is in good taste and we dont do one of those You Tube dance numbers, we are good.

We were told classical or hymns, but we had to have a congregational offetory or communion hymn. They never told us we couldn't have certain songs, just that we should "save the secular for the reception" lol
