DJ help

I am looking for an inexpensive Dj. Does anyone know of someone who does it for less than $1000 and that they liked? I can't see my self paying more than that for someone who is playing music. Please help me.

We haven't had our wedding yet but we're booked with Style Matters, which always gets GREAT reviews. They are $200/hr so it could work for you...depending on how long you need them. I think their website is stylemattersdjs.com. Our planning experience has been great at least!

We're using XL Entertainment.  He's in NW Indiana, but his price includes travel.  Our wedding isn't until November, but I've heard good things about him and really enjoyed speaking with him on the phone.  He's also really prompt when responding to emails.

Haven't had our's yet- its the 26th- but we are using Lou from Midwest Productions. Both our venue and our Rev. raved about him. They are based in the northwest burbs.I've spoken to him on the phone and few times and and really like him. They run between 800 and 900- we are paying 850 for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception- he brings 3 differnt sound systems and sets them all up before hard so its a smooth transition.I will know more by the end of the month- but he's been one of our easiest vendors to get along with and even dealing with the company to make payments and ask questions has been great- they respond to all my emails right away and have always been helpful.

We're using One Stop DJs for under $600.Our wedding isn't until January, but I did see them at a friend's wedding in March and I thought they were great...especially for the price.

Dance Party Djs.  dpdjs.com.  They aren't ever really mentioned on here.  But its a company owned by a father, and him and his sons are the DJs.  They did my friends wedding and it was the most fun we ever had at a wedding cause of the DJ, so we booked them without looking into other options.  We were so happy with our choice (and no offense to my friend, but now we think our wedding was the most fun)  they had people on the dance floor non-stop all night!

since your wedding is off season, try negotiating prices with the better dj's you might luck out. we did a lot of negotiating with almost all our vendors and lucked out.
