Overhills Mansion Brides...

I'm getting married there this February and I have a couple questions for folks who have already been married there or who will be getting married there soon... I'm obviously going to ask these questions of the folks there as well, just want to know if I should anticipate any pushback. TIA for your help!1) I have decorations planned for the fireplaces, mantels, etc. Will they take away the fake flower arrangements upon request?2) I know they don't allow candles inside... has anyone ever done luminarias (candle or electric) outside? I'd love to have something lighting up the outside a bit.3) How did you schedule the timeline, since they only allow you into the place a half-hour before the contract time? We want to do our pictures before the ceremony but we don't know how we'll fit it in...4) How active is their staff in running the show on the day of? Both of the women I'd pick for DOCs are in my bridal party and I refuse to pay someone... if their event coordinators are decent I shouldn't have to. :)TIA!

One of the Overhills brides, bmore09bride, is getting married there tomorrow, so you should try to page her when she gets back, since she'll have a ton of helpful info.1)  Yes.  When you have your planning meeting with Lynda, who is awesome, she'll go over the mantle decorations with you and you can tell her exactly what you do and do not want.2) I don't know, but this is definitely something else Lynda could clarify for you.3) I'm doing my ceremony somewhere else, so I'm not helpful for this one either. Spfeiffer had her ceremony there and could help you out too.  I think some brides do the pictures around the grounds between the ceremony and reception while their guests are doing the cocktail hour and getting to their seats4) Another one I don't know yet, but I have a DOC so even after my wedding I wouldn't help. This is another good question for bmore09bride when she gets back. GL!
