BM Dresses

Hey Ladies! Just a quick question...Did you bridesmaids try on their dresses before ordering them or did you just order them by measurements and go from there? The dress we(myself & fsil) picked out is only in 1 size at 2 different places. Any suggestions???

What we did is only 1 of my bridesmaids could try on the dress at 3 different stores so each person had to be measured and then the dress ordered without them trying anything on.  I was really scared about this as to how it would look on everyone else but the sales lady had a picture of the dress worn at another wedding with girls of all sizes, so that helped alot! For a wedding I was in last year, they just measured me, ordered the dress and the when it came in, I could try it on and then it had to be altered because it was too big....I guess that's better than being too small :)Good luck!

Its best to go off the size chart vs. trying them on.  I would say use a dress in the store as guidance but ultimately use the size charts since dresses in the stores could be stretched out, etc.  from being tried on multiple times.  GL!

My girls tried them on first, but we were going with separates from David's Bridal, where they have many sizes on hand. If your shop doesn't carry a size even close for them to try and you're concerned about how the style looks on them, you could have them try on a different dress (whether the same designer or another) in the same style.
