Venue needed for a small wedding (70 guests)

Can be a restaurant as well as long as it has a dance floor.  Thanks in advance!

I had about 65-70 guests at my wedding last September .We were at Doolan's Shore Club in Spring Lake. THey had sleeping rooms onsite, as well as (2) beatuiful rooms for the reception. We did ceremony onsite as well.

NICE!  I just checked out there site and I am in love.  They actually are hosting a bridal reception for all new brides THIS Sunday so we can taste their food, cake, check out the locaiton....How appropriate!  Haha.  Perfect timing if I don't say so myself.

What were some of the great things about this place...and not so great?  Thanks!!!!!

Olde Mill Inn in basking Ridge. Small weddings are held in the Grain House Restaurant. Its not on their website, so you would have to make a trip out there.

Just had mine at The Rutgers Club in New Brunswick - very affordable, people were raving about the food and fits a max of 74 people.

I was going to suggest the Grain House, too.  Also, I don't remember the name quite right but something like the Bedminster Inn.

We fell in love with the venue at the bridal show, actually. :) The service there was phenomenal. Susan and Bob were super accomidating leading up to the wedding as well as the day of.
Perks: We used their centerpieces (they have 2 options) at no additional cost, They wrote out our place cards for us, The food is PHENOMENAL!!!! We got a ton of rave reviews not just about the quality of the food, but the quantity. There were no "small" dishes. Portions were grand. Drinks were plentiful. Everyone had an amazing time. Close to the park for gorgeous pictures.

Cons: The guest rooms were outdated. The room my husband and I stayed in was super nice, but the rest of them just needed love. They weren't gross or anything just old.

Yeah, i can't think of any other complaints looking back. :)

Nice!  Using their centerpieces would save a ton of money so that definitely is  PRO.  I am so excited you replied.  I will making my visit on Sunday.  I am SO excited.  Thanks again for all this helpful information.

Personally I hated Doolans, the service I received when my mother and I went to view the venue was HORRIBLE. I have to say, I was HIGHLY disappointed.

We ended up booking Royce Brook Golf Course in Hillsborough, NJ. They were very accommodating to our requests and very easy to work with and came highly recommended from many of my coworkers who are members.

Ut oh, that stinks.  So far Susan has been very helpful.  I am going to a bridal reception there tomorrow so hopefully I will get a better feel.  Royce Brook looks gorgeous!!!
