  I sent mine out a week after my shower, I don't know what the actual etiquette for that is but that's how I like to time it.

  Etiquette definitely says you should send separate thank-yous for the shower and wedding. I sent mine 2 weeks after the shower, which I think was a bit long, but I moved the weekend after the shower, so I think people understood.

  I agree with shanwalk...I'd get those thank you's out as soon as you can after the shower.  I had mine out within a week.  I know from experience that it feels pretty crappy on the other end if you've given an gift and it isn't acknowledged in a reasonable amount of time.  Besides, it'll mean less work for you after the wedding!
