Lavender in September????

We want to get married on 9/18/2010, but I want y colors to be a light purple almost lavender. Is it too late in the season to do that???

    I've never understood the idea that certain colors are simply not allowed during certain times of the year.  Lavender in September is fine.  If you're really worried about it looking seasonal, accent with some dark earth tones like greens and browns.
    This is a neglected planning bio.
    This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    I'm getting married in January and our colors are brown and lavender/lilac.

    So if you want lavender, use lavender :)

    it doesnt matter what time of the year it is for your wedding colors its your wedding do what you want with it mines going to be 7/10/10 and i'm doing tropical colors. Laughing

    lavender is fine in september... pair it with slate grey, chocolate brown, or eggplant. Its your day!

    Use whatever color you want.  I'm also going to disagree with pp and say that you do NOT have to pair it with browns, dark purples, or other dark, fall-like colors just because it's in the fall.  Have the palest colors you want, if that's what makes you happy.  YOU should dictate what your wedding looks like, not the season.

    I, too, am getting married on September 18th, 2010 and we are doing purple...it is my favorite color  It is your day...who cares?!  I thought that I should do "fall" colors but then i realized it was MY day!  Go with lavendar and have fun with it!
