Save the date wording....

Did anyone make your own save the dates? We have the wilton ring magnets and figured to send them out after our party... I dont know if i Should pick a picture or just the wording. And since everyone is kind of "out of town" about an hour away, I was thinking of adding some information about smithville..? Does this sound ok?TIA!!!

    We made our own save the dates at the photo center in Sams club. We have a lot of out town guests also. What we did was included our wedding website at the bottom. A few of our friends did this on their save the dates and it was very helpful. It had all of the information about the day available to view before the official invitations went out.

    I'm in the same boat as you as far as just about everyone being from 2+ hours away. I'm making my own STD postcard... cause it was soooo much cheaper than magnets, .28 cents to mail them! We are doing a wedding website with lots of OOT info, and I will try to squeeze welcome bags into the budget somewhere. We're also encouraging people to RSVP early online to save postage - still sending the invite, just not the prestamped RSVP card for those that decide to do it online. It would be nice for you to add some of the historical info about Smithville, I'm sure.
