I don't have any specific tips about Half Moon Bay but just wanted to say congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the board!

Where at in Half Moon Bay? I am getting married at Half Moon Bay golf links! I know the area pretty well so any questions you have I can probably answer them.

I am also getting married at the Golf Links!!! Sent a confirmation email today to Amy. We are doing a morning ceremony on the 18th. We are then planning on going to Pasta Moon for a lunch - hoping they let us there early (ceremony at 9AM, lunch is supposed to start at noon). Are you doing anything special at the links or just what they provide?Adelle

We are getting married on the 10th tee at 3pm and renting out the whole clubhouse for the reception.I am actually calling Half Moon Bay Lodge (which is right off of the course entrance) for room blocks for the guests. Luckily we are doing almost everything through Amy. My FI golfs there almost every weekend so he knew the food was good and that it would be a perfect location. So your having a morning ceremony and lunch reception? I have never been to Pasta Moon.Amy so far has been amazing to work with. Our Photographer was concerned with where to do a "reveal" for pictures before the wedding without the whole wedding seeing it and she responded within 2 hours of the email with multiple locations. The only thing about July on the coast here is that the fog doesn't burn off until after lunch time. But even with the fog it is beautiful. We checked out our location the week after 4th of july and it was all socked in with fog but it was still comfortable (60 degrees- probably cold for an east coaster!) but then the fog started to burn off and it got warm.Where in Upstate NY. I went to Syracuse!

I am closer to Albany... a small town called Gloversville. How funny is that?!I figured there might be some fog, but I still have to have it there... so amazing! And that is where we fell in love :)

The fog actually quites the waves a little bit, Amy was telling us that on a clear day the waves can sound really loud making it hard for people to hear your vows and stuff. The fog made it seem so romantic when we went to look. Plus it was still comfortable weather. My mom though wasnt a fan of the fog because her hair tends to get curly with it and her she straightened it that day to end up with it all. She said she has to figure out a way for her hair to net all frizzy! Probably a lot of hairspray and have it up! Congrats on getting married. I loved the 18th hole but it was out of our price range, we get to take pictures there at no additional cost so we went for the 10th tee instead!!
