Karatography & KioKreations-Input Please

I'm looking into photographers and Florists. What did you guys think of Karatography and KioKreations???? Any other recs....Thanks!!!!!

    We are using Karatography for our wedding in November.  We did one engagement session with her and I really enjoyed working with her.  She is a good balance of direction/ideas and taking suggestions.  If you want to see some of our pictures, we are on her blog "greg and Karen'.  blog.karatography.com Kio Kreations was already booked so I don't have any experience with her, but she gets good reviews from the board.

    We booked with Kara after meeting with her but haven't used her yet. She has a great personality and takes some great photos!Just as an FYI...she just raised her prices ten minutes ago!We wanted to go with Kio but she was booked so we went with GNG instead.

    we met with kara schultz, heather parker, and jeremy lawson and ended up chosing heather parker since she offered 2 photographers, a disc without any early release fee, and a montage slideshow.

    both kio and kara get good reviews on here. check the chicagoland wedding vendors link in my siggy and you can see who everyone is using

    we are considering kio. we looked at kara's work. its good but after she said she was only shooting weddings for a year we continued our search and are still looking.

    We booked with Kio Kreations.  Kristen is absolutely great and super responsive to all my e-mails.  She has a great portfolio, and it's all online which is awesome for me since I'm planning long-distance.We met with Kara and were not impressed.  She was over an hour late, and seemed really rushed and disinterested in meeting with us.  We also didn't think she did a great job of capturing facial expressions--everyone in the samples looked kind of funny.  We booked with Danielle Aquiline instead.

    somebody posted a negative review on kio kreations recently. for photography we looked at kara schults (karatography), george street, and heather parker. all of them are highly recommended on this board. both kio and kara haven't been in the industry for that long (that was one of our questions for all of our wedding vendors) so with the lack of experience and the bad review on kio, we didn't end up hiring either of those.

    We've booked them both & have had great experiences with them so far.  our e-pics are up on kara's blog, we're megan & jeremy & kristen from KIO has gone above & beyond to help me so far & the wedding isn't even until next year.  love them both.

    kio gets rave reviews on here. she has been in business for a while and is so talented. i believe kara of karatography has only been doing this since she get married and does not have formal training as a photographer. i'm sure all these people have to start out somewhere, but not for my wedding. a lot of brides are becoming DOCs, wedding planners, and photographers and i bet a lot of grooms are even becoming djs.

    I am using Kristen from Kio Kreations and she has been wonderful. First an foremost I love her style. She is an artist and a florist and has a particular style in both, whch I love. You can see all of her work before making a decision to see if her style is what you like. I met with her in the spring, and she had never worked my venue before and wanted to visit with me. (www.mayslakepeabody.com)We visited the venue, and talked about many of the aspects of the wedding, including table placement, lighting, etc. I feel this is going above and beyone the call of duty, as she visited the vnue with me and helped me with some decisions about the room. Kristen is more experienced in weddings than I am. Although my wedding is a year out,   am fully confident I made the right choice for me,  with Kio Kreations. I think one bad review does not outweigh the possibly 50 good reviews she has received on this board. That is my 2 cents on the one bad review. I have not chosen a photog yet, so I cannot give you any insight there. I have hired a photog for my engagement photos which will take place on the day of my engagement party later this month. I will post a review then.

    My review on Kio is mixed and in my bio. She doesn't have a ton of experience and her communication is poor. She does have a good attitude. Most of her product was good, but I had a major problem with my taller centerpieces and ceremony flowers. Kristen is a knottie which is one of the reasons she is so popular on these boards, but she is also affordable and puts forward an acceptable if not stellar product.

    Kara just shot my wedding at the end of August and I haven't seen the pics yet, but I LOVED working with her.  She did take our engagement pics though and they turned out fantastic!  On the wedding day, she was extremely helpful--ushering out my inlaws when they showed up to watch me get dressed, bustling my dress when my bridesmaids could not be found and just generally helping me remain calm.  She showed up early on the day of our event and would have stayed to the end.  We used the unlimited session.  I highly recommend her.
