Questions to ask...

Meeting with two photographers today. Jenni (forever yesterday) and jay perskie (perskie photography).  I have a basic list of questions to ask: (Prices, packages, type of equipment, 2nd photographer, style, color, back up equipment, coverage hours, additional fees, will they accept a list of specific poses, etc.)? Can anyone think of any other important questions I should ask? Thanks!!!!

If you know where your ceremony/reception are being held, you could ask if they've worked at your venue before, and maybe if they could send you pictures of a wedding they've done there.

When I first met with Jenni I took a list of shots and some of my fav wedding pics I found online. She was excited about my selections and was even able to match photos that I brought with ones she had done in the past. I still find myself emailing interesting shots that I find. Someone already asked about the rights to the photos, but you should also ask about digital vs. prints and how many you will get. Good luck with your meetings!!! Tell Jenni Heather says hello!

One of the most important things to consider (IMO) is whether or not you actually like the photog. Not their pictures, or their prices, or their packages, but *him/her* as a person. They are going to be there with you for hours and hours on a very important day - it helps if they are friendly and flexible and you can stand to be around them. Trust me ;)

Ditto SK - Jen Lowe had great advice when we were looking around for a photographer.  You will spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day than FI!  If you don't feel comfortable with your photographer, it wil show in your pictures.  Pay attention to those gut feelings you get about a person when you're interviewing.  I would also ask how many pictures you can expect on a typical wedding, how many locations they will travel to (if you get ready one place, have the ceremony at a different location and the reception at another, some photogs  may charge for travel).  What happens if they get sick or have an emergency the day of your wedding?  What is the turnaround time to get photos after your wedding?  GL with your meetings tomorrow.
