Beach Reception Ideas?

Hi! I'm one week into my planning and I have no idea where to start on finding an affordable place for a reception. I want to be on the beach somewhere for like 100 people. Anyone have a great recommendation? Somewhere I can get married on the sand and then get the reception started at the same place... Thanks for your help! Stacy

I got married at the La Jolla Shores Hotel. You can do beach weddings with them, just not during the busy summer months. I had my ceremony in the garden patio, and the reception in a room that overlooked the ocean. Beautiful!

I've been trying to succeed at this for over a month lol. It really depends on your price range. I'm going to visit out top places on Friday so I'll let you know how that goes.If you have a high price range, try Paradise Point, La Jolla Shores, Hotel Del Coronado, Ocean View Villas, Inn at Sunset Cliffs, Hilton, Bahia. There's plenty of them around. Its the cheap ones that are hard to find.If not (like me) right now I'm looking at Kona Kai (private beach), Coronado Community Center (beach across the street), Island Palms, Carlsbad Seapointe. For the last three you'll have to get a permit for a nearby beach... and it will be public.I also liked Breakers Beach on the naval airbase but when I called she said they weren't taking reservations anymore since they were going to do renovations. However someone else said with their wedding coordinator they still could. If u can, let me know :)Good luck on getting started!!! Hopefully this will help out... when I started out I got sooo frustrated!

Do you want to get married at a hotel? If not look at the Powerhouse Community Center.
