Good but reasonable photograher and DJ??

Okay, got the man, ring and dress of my dreams...now i just need to score a venue/date, photographer and DJ!  i will spend the money on a good photographer but don't want to spend more than i have to...i LOVE pictures (i'm the girl who's always got a camera) and i have to admit i am a poser LOL...but don't want cheesy pics.  love good candids and nice black and whites. any suggestions??  oh and don't think i need the whole big package with parent albums - let them buy on their own!

    Hey! I just got married in August and absolutely loved my photographer!! we did it very simple and just had him come for eight hours, to two different locations (although up to three was included in the package) and then got the pics on cd so we could print and make albums ourselves. We went through The Pros (thepros.com). This came to $1300. We had Peter Su as our photographer, and he was amazing!!! I can't explain how good he was, he took not just the normal formals but photos I would never think to ask him to take. He also took alot of the guests and reception that we didn't even get to see. He was very accomodating, being that my husband hates getting his pic taken and both of us had never been to a wedding before!!! He wouuld take some fabulous pics when we didn't even know he was taking them! I can't say enough about him. This was the best money I've ever spent. We also got our DJ though them for $895.     We loved working with Hubert Kopec (HK Photography). They seem like they would be a good fit for you. He has packages starting at $1500 and is willing to customize to meet your needs. We got 2 photographers, unlimited hours, DVD of all images, album, 2 parent albums, and engagement session for $1900 (I think since then they've gone up a little, but they're still reasonable).[url]<a href="http://www.hk-photography.com" rel='nofollow'>http://www.hk-photography.com</a>[/url]

    I SECOND King Vincent Storm -- EXCELLENT packages and you get SOOOOOO much in their packages!! Tons and tons of prints and books etc!!Definitly look them up.kingvincentstorm.com

    I'm using Diane Parsons at Parsons Photography. Her prices are low and there is a 2nd photographer. She also takes as many sessions as you want all included in any package (e-pics, b-pics, rehearsal dinner..) We are using After Hours for the dj and they are also very good and reasonable

    Third vote for HK Photography... And we're using LocalMotion for our DJ... i think he's under $1000 for 5 hours... he keeps his price low by having very low overhead costs and only 2 people in his company... he does not have a website so if you want to contact him you'll have to find his phone number to give him a call... our venue, The Woodwinds, recommended him

    ooo and for DJ Powerstation is GREAT! [url]www.powerstationevents.com[/url]they have been super accommodating and I am doing up-lighting through them and it is really cheap compared to using wedding lighting events places.

    A must call is Dot The I's Events. Go to www.Dottheisevents.com and meet there photographer and DJ. They were wonderful and they take payment plans. Which is helping us out. Plus instead of tons of deposits its only one deposit for them both cause its all one company. So I cant say enough about them. Worth a call thats for sure. I hope this helps.

    I would really recommend our photographer, Megan Dupuis, of Perspectives Photography.  http://www.perspectives-photography.com/index2.phpShe's based in MA, but travels to CT (guaranteed, we're getting married in Hartford . . .).  Her packages start at $1650, which include print credit, but you can work with her to adjust the packages to get what you're looking for.  Her style is much more "fine arts" based.  She does a lot with black & white, and is great at capturing the candids.  What impressed us initially was her detail pictures.  They blew others out of the water.  She's very nice, very friendly, but also very professional.  I contacted about 5 of her former clients, and every single one of them had rave reviews- several have recently also hired her to do baby portraits.  FI loved the fact she described her work philosophy as "photog ninja"- always there, you just never know it.

    Catherine Fiehn is our photographer, she unbelievably worked with us on price. We couldn't believe it because she is majorly known photographer. Our wedding is off season though so maybe that is why. Website :www.catherinefiehn.com
