Long or T-length BM dresses?

So I'm shopping for BM dresses and I can't decide if I want them to wear long or T length dresses.  I'm not real picky when it comes to their dresses, so I don't really care either way.  My mom made the comment that my dress is pretty formal looking and since we're going with a formal color like red they should wear long dresses to give it a more formal look.  One of my BM wore t length dresses in another wedding and really liked the freedom and comfort.  I also think the girls would be more likely to wear a t length dress again instead of just for the wedding. My wedding is early spring (May 15) so a t length dress would give it more of a spring feel.  I'm just wondering opinions or what kind of dresses you are using for your BM.  TIA!

    I much prefer knee-length opposed to tea-length or full. Tea-length usually hits women right at the calves - a.k.a. the widest part of your bottom appendages. It often creates a stump-like effect on even slender women. I did knee-length for my BMs, and they were awesome.

    I think that the formality and the style of the gown set the length of their gowns. If you are having a relaxed, garden, beach wedding, tealength for sure! if you are having an evening or ballroom, floor length. one addendum to that is if you are going for a retro feel, then i say tealength.

    i def. vote for knee or tea length.  our wedding was in June and a pretty formal wedding and my girls wore knee length and it didn't "de-formalize anything.  They are much more comfortable and def. more chances to wear again. why don't you ask your girls what they like?? I let my girls choose what dress they wanted within certian guidelines and they were so happy I didn't make them wear something....so value what they like maybe

    I'd decide based on how formal the rest of the wedding is. But I don't think that the color red is formal or informal, and honestly most bridal gowns are formal so you can't really go by that either. Take into account things like the venue you've chosen, the time of day or night, what you're serving, etc. to determine if your wedding is truly formal or not and go from there.

    I like tea length. I'm having a June wedding outdoors so It may be a bit hot out. I think tea length would work for me. But honestly look at what you like and what your bridesmaids are comfortable in:) Good Luck!
