Check out: www.chuaochocolatier.com www.pacificcookie.com www.cousinscandy.com www.lavenderloungetea.com You can also consider See's Candies and Ghiradelli chocolate. I'm getting a box of 144 Pacific Cookie cookies in 6 different flavors, all individually wrapped, for about $58. Plus the flavors are DELICIOUS!

I can't think of anything that is strictly San Diego, and I've lived here my whole life.  If you're looking CA, then Sees or Ghiradelli will work.  Maybe something from the zoo or Wild Animal Park?  Perhaps a bottle of wine from a Temecula Winery?  (If you're going the wine route, it's much less expensive to buy the wine at the CVS near the wineries.  It doesn't make a ton of sense, but the wine is always cheaper there.)

I would say maybe some flip flops and a san diego towel and/pr a bottle of wine from one of the wineries in the Escondido area, and maybe a gift card for one of the local yummy burrito/mexican places to eat along with the free maps?

If you're thinking edible, try Mom's Pies in Julian (East County SD) or Julian Pie Company. They may be able to make individual sized pies....people come from out of state to get them in the winter.

Similar to the other suggestions, this company isn't from San Diego, but it is worth looking into for gift bags. We'll likely include them in our bags for over 100 oot guests. I OD'ed on these chips as a teenager. Have'a Corn Chips. They're based out of Laguna Beach and for sale on amazon. And thanks to those who suggested the cookies. A great find!

Whale's tails tortilla Chips made in Encinitas (they have a website and sell snack size bags). I used them with salsa in my OOT bags!
