Rec your hairdresser

I just need a haircut, I haven't had one in ages! I have curly hair so it'd be nice having someone who knows the science of cutting curly hair. I live in the north side, will go anywhere within a 10 mile radius (north hills, south side, mt. lebanon, downtown, shadyside, squirrel hill, etc). I think I'll spend 50 max, not sure what the average price for a cut is around here. No novices or apprentices, please, I had an awful experience with one. :( Recommend your hairdresser/salon!

    I have very curly hair and have been going to Dawn at Philip Pelusi in Century 3 mall for years.  Love her.

    LOL, I'm no help, because I haven't paid for a haircut in years! :) Since before I started dating my DH actually...I let my mother and then my husband cut my hair :) It's free!(I take that back, I let Great Clips cut it three days before the wedding because I wanted no chances taken!)

    When living in Pittsburgh I always went to Above All in Wexford. According to their website cuts start at $38. I almost always had cut + color, but I believe my old stylist (Ann) charges $45 for just a cut. She's great!

    I have Curly Hair I straighten - Ken @ Dean of Shadyside.  I think my haircuts are $50 if you go w/o prebooking, plus tip.  He's fabulous!!!

    Hair Friends in Oakland, any of the stylists there. I think they run about $35 for a haircut, maybe $40 for Bill, the owner. I have curly hair and have been going to them for years with not one problem. Good Luck!

    so late to this post.... BUT..... I have really curly hair, and after lots and lots of bad haircuts, and lots and lots of internet searches i found Eddie at salon cercone in shady side. LOVE him. And, it will be less than 50$

    Mike @ Dolli's Boutique in Springdale. 20 bucks will get you a ton. He colors, highlights, cuts, and styles my hair for 40. its a lil bit of a trip but WELLLL worth it.
