Back from the dentidt...not good

So what happens when you procrastinate on taking your kid to the dentist is they end up having to have a baby root canal.  Told you I was a bad mom!!

Not to sound like a dinosaur but I thought they just pulled the bad baby teeth. Do they really do root canals now on a tooth thats just going to fall out?

Awwww! Poor baby =( The good news is that I heard they don't hurt as much these days as they use to. They need to still do a root canal (if it has gotten that bad) because once it has gotten to that point the decay can spread to the jaw bone...and then you have a REALLY bad problem.

She has an infection that can spread if not taken care of.  I briefly looked it up and read up on it.  If it hurts something needs to be done other than just pulling it.

Awww poor little one! If you have health insurance you should take her to the dentist every 6 months like they suggest. I have gone to the dentist every 6 months since I was 4 and I attribute my healthy teeth to that since both of my parents have horrible teeth. Parenting is a learning experience and now you know your little ones teeth needs extra care so dont feel to bad.

Thanks San.  It's definitely a learning experience.  We have insurance so I have no excuse not to take her.  :(
