guest transportation

Hi,

I'm having trouble getting a shuttle type service for my wedding guests. Since most will be from out of town, I want a shuttle to take them from their downtown Harrisburg hotel to our venue in Dauphin (Peter Allen House) and then return them after the reception.

I have contacted two local transporation services and they both seemed uninterested in helping me. I was given quotes of $1000+. 

I also don't know how to go about reserving the right size vehicle. Do you think it would be ok to have guests RSVP for the shuttle?

Has anyone else done something similar and have any suggestions?

    I am also getting married at Peter Allen House and have guests staying in one of the downtown hotels. We are using Wolf's Bus Transportation out of York Springs, PA. They have been very easy so far to work with and extremely reasonable. We originally wanted a trolley but after receiving quotes we found this to be much more cost effective. I can't speak for what they will charge you but it could be within $500-$700 range. Hope that helps.

    We are also using Wolf and they were so so so so helpful and priced well below everyone else.


      I also agree that seems like bus companies in this area aren't interested in making any business!!!
