  Jimmy's Restaurant in Minnetonka hosts a lot of receptions, so does Pinstripes in Edina.

  I went to a reception at Spill the Wine (downtown Minneapolis) it was perfect for their wedding, about 50 people I think, they rented out one side of the resturant, but I know they have a space above the resturant for rent as well.

  Spill the Wine, W.A. Frost, Forepaugh's, and Cafe Lurcat would all work well for a small reception

  We're having our reception next weekend at Heartland Restaurant in St. Paul. They have a private room for 60 upstairs w/ an entire wall of windows. Very nice space!

  I just went to a small wedding( 30 to 45 people)  not to long ago at a resturaunt called Vic's on the river front in Minneapolis. It was beautiful and the service was great. I'm just not sure how much it cost....the food was incredible. yum
