Vendor Reviews

Here are some of my vendor reviews from our July 25th wedding.  Overall everything went great.  All of our vendors for the most part were amazing.  I couldn’t have asked for a better day.   Ellis Ranch Event Center A+:  Shawn Ellis was always extremly helpful.  He answered all my questions and always returned my numerous phone calls back so quickly.  The place was amazing and everyone cried when me and my dad came down the mountain in the horse and carriage.  They were so much fun to work with and we loved our venue!  I would definetly recommend this venue!   Porchlight Images A++++:  I can not say enough great things about Ryan and Stacy.  They both were just recently married so they are very understanding.  I had a list of the pictures I wanted and they went down it and checked each one.  They knew I wanted my bottom of my heels signed and I totally forgot - I came off the dance floor and they went and got them and had people start signing them.  They were always understanding on everything and if I needed to get ahold of them they were always responded.  I love their work and packages.  These two were so much fun and helped with whatever we needed.  They continously asked if there was anything they could do for us.  We will for sure be using them for all our family pictures and any other pictures in the future!  They were by far our favorite vendor!   Sweetheart City Smokers B+:  The BBQ food was great and they did everything they said they would.  When we were getting ready it didnt even dawn on me to ask if the caterer arrived yet but they were there all morning cooking away and had everything ready to go.  The only reason I grade them at a B was it was a little hard to get ahold of him.  I had to ask a few times for a receipt stating that we paid but other than that they were great and we got tons of compliments on the food.   Kim & Sylvia - Flowerama Flowers A:  The flowers were beautiful and there prices were very very affordable.  They work out of their home and are extremly nice and helpful.  We forgot to add a bout for one of the groomsmen so it was our fault that we were missing one the day of but they whipped one up for free in no time (even with my aunt being kinda rude to her - I felt so bad).  A few times it was a little hard to get a hold of them but I would recommend them.  They did a great job.   Nancy Best A+:  This lady was the happiest person I have ever met.  She made so many cakes for us to taste.  She also did a mini replica of our wedding cake before so we could see how it would look for free.  We got so much free cake it was crazy.  Our wedding cake turned out great.   Janet Kramer C+:  Our officiant was always enthusiastic and there was no doubt about how much she loved doing weddings.  Our wedding was suppose to start at 3:30 but she showed up 5 minutes late which was very irritating.  It was only five minutes but I started getting worried because I thought she would show up early.  Also she drug out a few parts of our ceremony and at one point said – I added this part for you guys.  It was a cute little saying but was weird having her say to us that she added stuff into our ceremony.  She was very helpful to us when we were putting our ceremony together.    D’annelis - A:  I got my dress, veil, and headpiece from D’annelis.  The lady that helped me pick out my dress was very helpful.  Also the alterations person did a great job. I should have asked to have it taken up a little higher.  I had her take it up according to my heels I was wearing for the ceremony.  I got some flip flops that were thicker to try and make up for the room but my dress was dragging on the floor and I actually ripped the lace that was on the bottom of edge of my dress almost all the way around.   Al’s Formal Wear  B:  They helped us with our invitations which turned out amazing.  We also got all the tuxes there.  There were a few  problems with the discount that I was suppose to get from a wedding show I went to.  It took awhile for them to get it right but after we worked with Tori (I believe that was her name) it was fine.  I changed all of the groomsmen jackets 2 days before the wedding because I didn’t like them.  They did an amazing job making sure they were all in on time.  There was a few issues with the sizes on a few tuxes and the ring bearers vest was purple when it should have been white but they fixed everything so quickly and it worked out great.

Sorry about the first few lines.  I copied and pasted and it messed up the font.  Anyways these are some vendor reviews from our July 25th wedding.  For the most part everyone was amazing.  We had the best day we could have imagined.  Good luck to all the upcoming brides.  Happy  planning!

I'm so glad you were able to give high grades on most of your vendors!  Ours were definintely mixed.  My daughter also got her dress at D'Anelli's and had the opposite situation...she had the dress hemmed for her flats at the reception, so the dress was a little short when in her heels for the ceremony.  I guess you can't have it both ways!!  Thankfully her ceremony heels were only about 1-1/2" so it wasn't too noticeable.
