Hello ladies! I didn't know this board exsisted or I would have used it prior to my wedding! I'm so happy to find brides just like me that are insipired by vintage themes and use creativity to bring classic looks alive. It's refreshing to be on a board with so much creativity. My wedding was on 9/6/09 and it was very much vintage inspired. My dress/hair/shoes were very Renasasaince era and we used a lot of "props" from the 50's like a 1950's television slideshow and our 1950's Oldsmobile Rocket 88. So, the purpose of this post is to just say Hello!

    Hi there and welcome!  This board is pretty new, but we'd love for you to share some of your ideas with us!  We need vintage brides, not just vintage brides-to-be.  ;DI sneaked a peak at your bio, and LOVE LOVE LOVE your shoes!  Where did you get them?  Is that a shoe clip on them I see?  What has been painted on the bottom?  Adorable, to say the least. I also thought your vintage tv photo slideshow was an awesome idea.  Were you able to pull it off?It seems like you had a lovely wedding.  Congratulations!!

    Hey, thanks! My shoes are from Ireland and made by one of my favorite shoe companies "Irregular Choice". I didn't add anything to them at all (no shoe clips or paint). A lot of Knotties thought they were super ugly, but I wore them anyway because I absolutely loved them! My TV slideshow was a HUGE hit at the wedding. We actually think it's from the 1940's. It was super easy to make as long as you can find a vintage tv (which is difficult and oftentimes, expensive). We had to drive two hours to get it from Trenton, NJ. But, it was totally worth it! We did a slightly different slideshow with photos of our GUESTS. We thoguht that they would be more interested in looking at the slideshow if it included photos of them. We ended up having about 200 Black and White photos that ran off of a screen saver.
